“The sunset always reminds me of you.” A beautiful ethereal illustration to give you good vibes, even on rainy days.

I drew this cute female portrait as a sketch with an HB Pencil and Rollerball Pen. After I smashed it into Procreate, I finished it off with Alcohol-Markers and Gel Pen brushes.

The background is fiber paper, which adds a rustic texture and gives that old-world feel.

MY STORY

DON’T FEAR DEATH. TRUST YOUR HEART.

Dear Friend.

If you’re feeling stuck right now, take a moment to breathe. Relax. Do something small to take care of yourself. Tomorrow the sun will rise again. And it'll rise for you too.

That same sun is always shining inside your heart, even if outside it’s raining. You’re beautiful. You're stardust. Never forget that. Be gentle with yourself.

Mindset is everything. We all experience self-doubt. By the way, I'm also a qualified wellness coach & spiritual therapist. If you struggle with self-doubt it helps to focus on self-care.

You deserve peace. And you CAN change. Love yourself.

Nurture the sun within, and it’ll rise higher and higher.

That’s what I felt when making this red and orange wall art poster.

It’ll show you how I beat anxiety, overcame depression, and calmed my anger, all while surviving in the wilderness.

I ONCE HAD AN N.D.E. IN AN ASHRAM IN DEVON.

FOR SOME REASON EVERYONE GOT SICK.

Strangely at the same time. Even more bizarrely, in completely different ways.

I was camping in a field nearby. It crept up on me like a python.

Interestingly, in many ancient cultures, snakes symbolize healing and wisdom.

So as I stood up to walk to get some food, suddenly I couldn’t breathe.

My throat tightened up.

Annoyingly, I had just exhaled. I could feel my heart beating in my jugulars, and throbbing in my head as everything started to fade to black.

I tried to call for help. But nothing came out. "Oh God, I'm going to die," I thought.

I fell to my knees, then to my side, fighting to breathe.

Then something unbelievable happened. I lost connection with all my senses and was immediately plunged into light.

My body must have stopped, yet what remained endured.

I was pure awareness then. Light awake.

I saw those smaller shimmers of myself afraid to die, and I let go. In that instant, I felt intense bliss.

"It's OK if I die, I am at peace," I thought.

It was like the sun shone through the fear, and I accepted death.

An infinite sense of love, of knowingness, and of peace bubbled up like a warm fountain.

And then, I heard myself gasp, and my eyes opened.

I hadn’t even made it out the front of my tent. Yet, in that mini-death, I was reborn.

What we are never dies. The body, sure, I’ve almost lost that lovely vehicle more times than I can count.

Yet, in those instances of possible death, I saw what life is. It’s not limited to the flesh suit.

That clarity which is watching, listening, and touching—that’s what we really are.

We are the root of our senses. When the body dies, gradually all the senses do too. But the root always remains.

I’ve seen it. And it never changes. It’s always there, shining brightly, waiting for you, dear friend, to connect.

So be gentle with yourself. Take your time. Give yourself the respect you deserve and stop thinking, just for a moment. Pause your thoughts, and reconnect with who you are.

Thanks for reading.

Yours,

Jamie
